I seem to sense that when something is too good to be true it ceases from production, and this could be anything really.
Am I the only one here that feels that? I mean this certain model of the RW/Ovangkol treatment is magic.
Yes it's not the top heap hi-end Taylor per say, but this can wrangler amongst the top of the heap and has it's own frequencies just like the others above and below.

taylor just revamped the GS and GO models with V class bracing, so i’d expect a gradual return of the models as the production line gets used to making the new models

Yes....I sort of heard or read that somewhere and with V-Class bracing included too. ;D

My guitar was sold to me as new old stock but it was actually a Taylor demo model. It came with a new warranty. The setup on it was perfect when it arrived. Low action - super low with zero fret buzz. Very easy to play up and down the neck even with 13’s. I replaced the stock tuners with gold Gotoh Delta 21:1 locking tuners and have a bone saddle being delivered today. I prefer locking tuners on all of my guitars to make string changes quicker and for better tuning stability. In my open, the Japanese made Gotoh Delta tuners are some of the best.

Very nice upgrade with tuners. So a bone saddles and Ebony pins with Pau shell along 13's is the most you can do to make the 416ce even better than stock now. 8)
Does the tuners come in plain as opposed to gold?

That’s really pretty, but it sounds great! The first thing I did when I got my used 314ce was to put on Taylor gold tuners, may to switch to gold gotohs, your look awesome.

The Gotoh Delta tuners are available in multiple finishes.
I received my bone saddle last night. The only reason I’m changing the saddle is because the stock saddle has a little bit of wear on it. There are some light grooves. I considered buying an OEM Taylor replacement but decided to try bone.
