Congrats!
The best thing about my FLTD Koa mini is Taylor included an on-board pickup system. To amp my original GS mini I had to plug in Taylor's after-market humming bugger that sat right below the strings in the sound hole. It was only a $500 guitar, but still...
Anyway, I haven't played it enough for the wood to "open up," but it sounds fine now. I think I bought it so I could own a Koa. I do not believe I will ever buy a full-size Koa guitar, unless this one "opens up" to me and convinces me otherwise. OKAY, I CAME BACK TO POST THIS COMMENT: I played my koa GS mini today for a couple of hours and it totally blew me away. It's sounding better than my 712 ce GS 12 fret!!
By the way, have you seen how much people are trying to get for the FLTD Koa mini on eBay? I guess it's a lesson in supply and demand.
