Hi everybody,

My name is Edward, husband and father from 2 kids, Luca and Amy.
I have bought a Taylor gs mini e Koa.
I love her sound and I'm glad I bought a Taylor! I hope I can learn a lot on this Forum and share my experiences with you!

Yes, the spruce was a surprise gift from my husband, the hog has a nice warm tone. Both get a lot of play.

What a great surprise! Did you replace the strings? I think they're too thick on mine.

Welcome Ed,
Some do use lights instead of the mediums on the mini, but I found I got used to the mediums on the short scale quickly. I did try lights once on my original mini but switched back to medium and have never looked back.
I travel for a living and end up playing more on my Mini's than anything else. That being said I really should only own 2 of them and one may have to go, but it is really nice to have one for the "parlor" and one for the road.
Glad you joined us here, and pics of your mini will be greatly enjoyed.
