Everyone say hi to the newb... :D
« on: June 07, 2014, 09:52:31 PM »
Hey all, I discovered this forum while doing research on the new 800 series and ES2 system. I live in the DFW area and primarily play electric guitars most of the time.  I am an 80's metalhead reject.

Lately I have been getting into acoustic work and have thought about upgrading the cheap Epiphone six-string that I have.  I do have two Taylor's a T5 and a 756ce.  The T5 is from the first or second year they were made, I think. The 756ce was a NAMM guitar from a few years ago that I happened to fall in love with while at NAMM.  The dealer I buy most of my guitars from ended up getting it for me.  It was a fluke as I was going to buy a Jackson guitar they had announced the prior year and there was still no idea when they were going to ship.

I fell in love with Taylor's then.  Sadly the T5 doesn't see much use.

Next weekend for my birthday I am headed to Houston to pick out a 6 String Taylor.

Welcome. That is a beautiful 756ce!  The T5 is nice too  ;). Hope you have a wonderful birthday and find yourself a nice Taylor.

Welcome to the forum mdittenber.  Nice couple of Taylors you have there.  80's metal band uh, can you still do the hair whip? ;D   I would if I only had the hair, ha  :o
