After a tour of the factory you really understand why a Taylor cost what it does.
-
Cool Photos! Thanks for sharing. I've always wanted to visit the factory. Maybe one day.
-
Couple more. Watching the finish being put on is worth the tour. Takes maybe 15 seconds and all automated.
-
Nice pics. Thanks for posting. I'd like to take the tour one day.

Factory tours are fun. pretty cool how it all comes together, from a block of wood to the finished instrument. I was there just last Friday(the 17th), they had to run two separate groups that day. of course the best part is the showroom, yes all those fantastic guitars to try on for size.

Very interesting, thanks for posting the pics!

Thanks for the pics guys! It is mind boggling to think how our babies come into existence.
-
Nice pics. Thanks. :)

Was surprised at how large just the neck dept. is. Interesting clamping machines.

We stayed in El Cajon for one night after the tour. The super 8 was a decent hotel and only a short walk to a really nice downtown. The "Downtown Cafe" has good food and 30 some beers on tap.
-
Gotta convince the wife how much fun a trip to El Cajon would be... ;)
-
Would love to make a trip to the factory one day. I told my wife if we ever get out to Cali, this will be in the itinerary.
-
I think I'll apply for the final inspection job.....you have to test play them, right?

We made a "side-trip" last year (from Phoenix to San Diego) for 8 days... I sold the idea to my wife based on being able to tour the Taylor factory. LOTS of fun things to do in the area, but the Taylor factory tour was a real highlight.
If you are a fan of these fine guitars, the factory tour will only reinforce those good feelings.

Thanks for the pics,
I am in the "planning stage" for a field trip to the west coast and back, from Arkansas. I also intend to go up and down the coast while in CA.
