The search for the Holy Grail of strings
« on: September 06, 2019, 06:51:59 PM »
I freely confess that I am guilty of ordering every possible permutation of guitar string  from my favorite online dealer.  There are days when the floor of my practice space is covered with spent strings and assorted clippings. The cat finds infinite entertainment value pouncing on wriggling pieces of phosphor bronze.

Today I tried a set of medium GHS Thin Core PB’s. I like them. A lot. Warm like PB strings tend to be, but also VERY easy on the fingers due to the thin, round core. They do a fine job moving the top with out so much tension to cause fatigue for my 60 year old hands. Worth checking into, IMO.

There has been great suffering in searching for the holy grail.
Beware and choose wisely.

Today I tried a set of medium GHS Thin Core PB’s.
Standard medium or true medium (S335 or TM335)?
