Bohemian Rhapsody

Had time to kill a couple of hours today and saw Bohemian Rhapsody.  Great movie.  Especially if you're a fan of Queen, this is a must see.

Fantastic movie.  A Night At The Opera was my first vinyl ever, so it carries more significance for me personally. I don't play any Queen songs, if anyone has a Queen song recommendation for acoustic, please let me know.

To address the topic of the thread:  I haven't seen the movie, but have had a couple of friends recommend it.  Prior to their recommendations, I'd been put off of the movie because I'd heard 'professional' reviews that said while the movie was well-cast and Rami Malek's portrayal of Freddie Mercury was outstanding, the plot was thin.

... if anyone has a Queen song recommendation for acoustic, please let me know.

I've been meaning to add "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" to my repertoire, largely for the same reason (I don't know a Queen song).  Unless I miss my guess, the opening riff is just alternating between D & Dsus4, but the rhythm is a bit challenging for someone like me...  Haven't tracked down the rest of the chord progression yet...

Amazing movie!  News of the World was the first album I bought and wore it out.  Love their music.  If you're a fan of Queen or Freddie go see it or now probably have to rent it.  I thought it was a nice story about the band while highlighting Freddie.  It seemed the band was always like a family and this movie had the approval of Brian May and Roger Taylor though I'm not naive to think its all kittens and chocolates about how things were.  The performance of Rami Malek is worth the price of admission.

BoRap is really not a super difficult tune, as you see Jake S worked it out on ukulele and here's a version on mandolin that I've pretty much gotten down.  Might have to tackle it on guitar sometime...

I watched it on my way to Italy in April.

A great movie...

I saw it and really enjoyed the band performances more than the story. If you go in thinking of it as an extended music video you won't be disappointed.

As a retired dentist I simply couldn't get past the grotesque prosthetic teeth that Rami had to wear during the entire shoot - turned me off the entire movie. But that's me. Excellent performance otherwise.
