Custom Taylor For Sale -- SOLD (back to me)
« on: February 02, 2019, 07:17:40 PM »
In case you're interested, here's the 2012 custom Taylor I gave up to purchase a 614 V class. It's for sale at Martin Music for $3,400. It's equipped with an ES1.3 system. Any questions, just let me know.

What a stunner!

I sold a custom Taylor to a dealer once, full well knowing that it was the right decision, as it wasn't getting much playing time and I just never bonded with it. But when I saw it listed for sale on the dealer's website, it made me feel awful because of how great it was presented. I got over it quickly but I was still not expecting that.

Never mind! I'm taking this one back, because I miss her sound! I'm going to trade in my 2016 custom Taylor instead. More to follow...

It kind of sounds like you don't really want to get rid of any of them.

Nope, I only have room for seven in my life (based on past experience), so I had to decide which of my guitars had the least unique sound - that turns out to be my 2016 custom GA - Adi top and claro walnut back/sides. With a mahogany guitar back in the fold last year, I really don't need the sound of this one - the hog fills that need, and this one can't compare to the sound of my cedar walnut GA. While I love the 614 V's sound, it is nothing like the englemann/quilted maple GA with its CV bracing, so they both get to stay.

I always love a good reunion story!

I know we can't keep them all, but as the Lovin' Spoonful sang:

"Did you ever have to make up your mind, to say yes to one and leave the other behind?"

Cheers
