Cover tune....This Old Guitar, John Denver
« on: November 28, 2018, 07:28:10 PM »
This is a quick iPhone take on an old John Denver tune, This Old Guitar.  I really liked his take on these sweet, sappy songs, as I think he really lived them.  I miss John.

I hope you enjoy my attempt. Playing my newish 510e.  Love this guitar.

I miss John as well.  Nice rendition, thanks

This was the first song I ever learned to fingerpick. John Denver was always very present in my childhood. Excellent, warm cover. Thank you for posting.

Nice job! Wow, this brings back memories. One of the first songs my college roommate taught me after I bought my first guitar in 1980. (A Yamaha FG150 acoustic) It wasn’t until years later that I first heard the actual song!

Thanks Socalsurf and Guitarsan... it’s really cool how certain songs can take us back to earlier days, hopefully filled with good memories.
