110e in the wild
« on: August 12, 2018, 07:40:25 AM »
Used the new to me 2006 110e at the Dakota County Fiddle Contest yesterday. Didn't end up plugging in, but that's fine as there were a couple of us providing guitar backup.  Ended up working beautifully. Came through strong and clear and the folks seemed to like the sound. For just playing backup, there is something nice about a 1 11/16" neck. Makes a difference to me now as I switch between different instruments (mandolin and octave mandolin take up most of my time these days).

And for those who care, yes, I was wearing a Taylor work shirt for the fair. Just seemed appropriate.
