In no particular order:
- Fender Strat: my first "real" guitar that I bought as a teen, scraping together every buck I could mannnnny a yeeeaaaar ago ...it ain't ever going anywhere, except eventually to the kids ...let em arm wrestle for it :) .
- LPCustom: c'mon, you gotta let me include a second 'lectric ...it's a Lester ...I can't not include it :D
- RT-2:  Recent acquisition, and yes a fave.  I can tell.  Not just a pretty face, (whoa, she's that in spades!), but this guitar really has that "close your eyes and melt into the tone" quality.  You guys know what I'm talking about ...not every guitar, no matter how attractive, can do this; in fact precious few truly do.  I sold multiple guitars to keep this one ....she's got "it."
- 12-String: an RT-1.  Aww c'mon, let me throw this one in.  A 12-er is different animal so it can qualify as my favorite "non-regular" guitar.

Yeah, I know, a "favorite" is defined by a quantity of one.  But I can't really do that; just too hard; so there's my list and I'm a stickin to it.

Right now my new T5 12 string is getting most of my playing time but if I could only keep one guitar it would be the maple parlor that my playing buddy and I built that was completed last year.  He was a patient teacher while I assisted and learned a lot.  I did all the inlay work as well.  For a small guitar it has a big sound.

Would have to go with my Adi topped GS BTO.  I will say that my 714 gets played more because it is tuned down and I've been playing a lot of that lately.  Next restring the GS gets tuned down so it goes back to getting played more!

Gorgeous instrument! What woods was used for the fingerboard?

Thanks for the kind words SF.  The fingerboard, binding, bridge, and headstock overlays are all Koa.  The maple neck is one piece.  The saddle and nut are bone.

My 410 for me, it was a 30th birthday present from my wife, purchased new and a complete surprise at the time.  It's really matured into a wonderfully sweet guitar and put up with all my abuse over the years like a trooper.

Wow, SMan ...that's stunning!  Clearly amazing wood, but that fingerboard, too ...wow!  I also love that the soundport is stylized.  You must be a very happy camper not only for such a fine guitar, but also that your fingerprints are all over it!
What an accomplishment, kudos!

I really love all of my guitars.. but if I HAD to pick, I'd say it's my Ron Kirn Strat.  It's made of 1,400 year old ash, is flawless in playability, and just a gorgeous piece of work.

My favorite?  Whichever one I'm playing...    ;D

Seriously, that's a very tough question.  On the electric side, although I love my T5 and really enjoy a killer Hamer Newport with a Quilted Maple top I've had since '06, I'd have to go with my old reliable American Standard Strat in boring black.  Bought it used from Jim Tozier about 10 years ago, and it has been my go to guitar ever since.  Replaced the factory p'ups with SCN's about 5 yrs ago and that's how it will stay.  Pristine clean, crunchy when overdriven, just a joy to play...

Acoustic-wise, it's a much harder decision.  I'm finding that as I grow older, my ear and taste is changing and the guitars I once thought of as "Lifers" are getting less and less play.  As far as a workaday, 'get the business done' acoustic goes, I would say it is a dead heat tie between my '02 TaylorStock 814c (Cocobolo/Sitka) and my '11 916ce.  Although they sound very different from each other, there is magic in both of those guitars that transcends what your ears pick up.

My 2010 910. I love playing it and learning new material on it. Best sound I have heard IMO!!! I very seldom pick up anything else since I got this.

Of all the acoustic guitars in your signature, which is your favorite? Taylor or otherwise...
