Hello from NC/USA
« on: June 21, 2018, 08:57:08 AM »
Hi,
I just restarted guitar after 30 years.  With 3 months under my belt, I decided I needed to upgrade from my Yamaha FG830.  I found a 2007 Taylor DN3 at the local Sam Ash and have been very impressed.  Now, to continue improving as I have my eye on a T5Z standard to reward further growth.

Welcome BG, I had a similar story  of picking up  my old Yamaha  after 25 years of not playing. After I got some skills back,   I told myself I needed a new guitar. That was 5 Taylors ago. I hope you enjoy playing again  as much as I do. Congratulations  on your recent and future purchases and welcome to the forum. Lots of good info here!

Susie - Thanks.  I have to admit, prior to restarting, I was only familiar with Martin and I do LOVE the sound.  I was originally drawn to Taylor as my instructor pointed me to a T5 as my next purchase (I want to play a mix of acoustic and electric).  The very perceptive Sam Ash seller picked up on my wanting a better sound than my FG830 and brought out the DN3.  Even though it is a 2007, the body is in pristine condition and the SOUND - wow!  Looking forward to sharing Taylor experiences here.
