I am located in Southern California, and today I just got my first guitar in 20 years after exclusively playing ukulele - a mini GS koa. I immediately replaced the bridge pins with ebony/abalone Taylor pins, and I have truss rod covers in both koa and ebony on their way, as well as ebony tuner buttons and an ebony strap button. She sounds beautiful tuned down to slack key (Keola Beamer’s C Wahine tuning) style and now I can’t wait to start playing. I name all my instruments, and gave it the name Maluhia (Hawaiian for peaceful) for the peaceful, slack key tunes she will be playing. I know it is a mini, but it seems HUGE to me!! I took a picture of it next to my ukulele collection, but even though I am using the image button I can't seem to get it to link. Oh well, eventually I will figure it out.
