Expanded 12-fret options for 2012?
« on: January 19, 2012, 12:12:59 AM »
Just looking over the newly formatted Taylor site, and I'm not certain, but it looks to me like the 12-fret series has been expanded.
Last time I looked (last week), the 12-fret was listed under "Specialty" guitars, and the only one I remember was the sitka/rw model, and I didn't see a cutaway as an option (not talking about the BTO route, but the production series).

Tonight it looks like there is still the sitka/rw, but also cedar and mahogany options, and a cutaway is shown as well.
I've been seriously considering a 12-fret BTO, but depending on the 'standard' 12-fret options I might just go that direction.
Any insight?
Thanks!!!

Played a 12 fret GC nylon (EIR/Sitka) at The NAMM booth this afternoon that felt sooooooo good (Tobaccoburst on it was gorgeous!).  Too loud in room to really tell the tone.  I'm hoping to get back in first thing tomorrow before the crowds hit to give it and others a closer listen.
