Way-Back Issues of "Wood & Steel"?
« on: October 27, 2017, 01:52:19 PM »
I have "my own" Taylor signature model, a 1995 Cotten 612c. Back in the mid-90s, Taylor liked to offer "extra value" models as a way of saying "thank you" to dealers and customers. In 1995, it was an exciting 612c-Cotten, honoring the life of Richard Cotten, skilled jazz guitarist and long time proprietor of Nashville's Cotten Music Center, at that time a Taylor dealer. Cotten had a special affinity for the 612c, and was largely responsible for it's emergence as a popular Taylor model. The Cotten model differed from the production 612c by featuring a non-stained maple back and sides (others were amber-stained), a "sharp" Florentine cutaway (others had the rounded, Venetian cutaway), and a custom "cotton" inlay. Of course, in 1995, Taylor Guitars had never heard of me, nor I them, so calling it "my own" is a bit of an understandable stretch...

I got this information from bad photocopies of the Fall 1995 issue of Wood & Steel. Anyone know where I might find an original copy?
