Wishful GS
« on: September 25, 2017, 07:51:53 PM »
I love my cedar/EIR GS7 and I also love 12 fret GC Taylors. I wish I could have the combo of both with a 12 fret, short scale GS body in cedar/rosewood. If there are other builders who produce 12 fret dreads, why not a 12 fret GS?

I looked at custom options on Taylor's website and they don't offer that configuration. Sigh  :P.

I bet it is a balance problem.  I owned a GA 12th fret and I think it has proportion problems IMHO.  A GS would be worse yet.  GC is the best body size for a 12th fret.

I agree with you on the likely balance issue with a GS 12 fret.

That being said, you should try a cedar top GA 12 fret. Heaven!
