Hello, I'm from Virginia, with a 2010 Taylor 910
« on: January 15, 2012, 06:47:11 AM »
Hello, I'm from Virginia. Just got a new Taylor 910. This is my first post and this is my first Taylor guitar. Just wanted to say hello to everyone and look forward to learing and sharing the love of music and the fine guitars from Taylor. I also have a Crafter TCO-35N and a Washburn WD-10 SCE 12 string. Both are great guitars and I thought I was set until I got the 910 as my 3rd. guitar. Well I cannot put it down. I'm so happy and a new proud Taylor owner. I cannot say enough great things about it. Any 910 guys give me your reviews and thoughts on the 910 please.

Hi MDS08 and welcome. I don't own a 910 but will say they are awesome guitars! Taylor uses their premium rosewood for the 9xx series so the grain must be a real looker! I played a new older model 910 that had a long crack running down the soundboard and went underneath the bridge and out below it. Despite that crack, it was one of the best sounding guitars I've ever heard! Nice to have you here. :)

Thank you, I agree it sounds awesome to me. I was lucky enough to find it through a friend. When I went to the gentlemans home the 910 was the cheapest guitar he had in his home. It was like new and when I held it and played a few cords I knew right then it was going to be mine. I did't pick it up until the next day. It was like Christmas Eve all over again. The wait was very exciting. I have been looking for that special sound and playability. I tried a few Gibsons and Martins. I almost bought a Guild that had a beautiful tone but it needed a set up. I am in deed very happy. I know I will never part with this one.

Hello MDS08,

From your posting(s), I'd say you have found a wonderful guitar.  The 900 series are very nice indeed.  I've played a 900 series and I loved the feel, tone, and everything about it.  What part of Va. are you from?  Looking forward to reading more from you.
