Hi everybody . I've been playing for over 45 years ( I'm pushing 58 ) and I have played and owned Fenders, Epiphones, Yamahas, etc., over the years and to me, Taylors are the best Acoustics around. I am a veteran on a low budget , who did serve in the US Navy and several months ago through Guitars for Veterans , I was given a 2003 Taylor 110-GB which completely caught me off guard. To be honest, it wasn't exactly in the best shape when I got it . It had a 7 inch surface crack which extended from the bridge to the edge of the body which looked like it was repaired with Super glue and the action at the 12th fret on the Bass side , was at 5 mm. Luckily I have a friend who is a luthier and who offered to fix it for free. He installed a strip of srpuce where the crack is and glued that in, then also installed some shims from a Big baby Taylor which lowered the action to 2 mm. It now plays great and sounds awesome. It's my No.1 and isn't going anywhere !
