I am from Jackson, Tennessee. Home of Rockabilly music. I am in between Memphis and Nashville. I have been "playing " guitar since I was about 12 years old. I am a huge John Denver fan. Love Taylor guitars. I have 2. Wished that I had a 814 but oh well. Glad that we have a taylor forum. Moved here from AGF which I was a charter member. Just glad that this forum.

Hi there Charlie! You are near the music center of the universe where you live. It wouldn't surprise me if babies in your area were born playing guitars ;) I too am a big John Denver fan. He was really the first musician who became a hero to me as a young teenager. Glad you share an interest in Taylor guitars - you have come to the right place. Welcome  :)

Yeah, John Denver. First "real" concert I ever went to, at about 7-8 years old with my folks at the old McNichols Sports Arena in Denver (that was razed many years ago after the Pepsi Center got built, and now the new Mile High/Sports Authority parking lot is there). My son and I were digging through some old vinyl LPs a couple weeks ago and came across John Denver, Elvis, the Beach Boys, and many other "oldies" artists (as my son puts it). We threw on a JD record and listened to "Thank God I'm a Country Boy", until my son got that look on his face and we moved on to Elvis... same look, and then the Beach Boys... finally some appreciation!

I need to go back and listen to John Denver again. I'd LOVE to have one of his Koa signature models in 6 string!
