The last 4 years of evolution in my gigging and equipment has led me to the Tonedeq. I had the experience of hearing my playing partner use one a year before I bought one. We found it maintains/preserves the nuances of your tone, manage frequencies, but allows you to add effects. If it robs or colors the tone, we found it un-noticeable, or less than any thing else we've demoed. It definitely opens the acoustic side of the T5.
