That's a really nice guitar, and I found this piece of text to be very funny:  "This guitar has never been registered with Taylor meaning whoever buys this rare beauty can register it in their name."

I think that is the biggest misconception about the Taylor "registration" cards. People think they are "warranty" cards. Big difference.

Taylor knows who the original selling dealer of record was for each guitar (having shipped it to that dealer) and odds are the dealer registered it for that first buyer at the time of sale, whether they know it or not.  If a third party were to try and register the guitar, at the very least they would have to know what dealer it came from and if any suspicions are raised, would likely need to produce a receipt from that dealer.

That all presumes a buyer who is willing to try and defraud Taylor into a warranty claim after the fact. So yeah, it's amusing.
Taylors:  424-LTD (all koa) and a 114ce that lives with friends in Alaska.  Low maintenance carbon fiber guitars are my "thing" these days, but I will always keep the koa 424.  Several ukulele and bass guitars too.
*Gone but not forgotten:  a 2001 414ce, 410, 354-LTD twelve string, 314-N, 416-LTD baritone, T5 Classic, 615ce, 2006 GS-K, 1996 (first year) Baby

Earl, you don't have to know which dealer originally sold a guitar.  Anyone can register a Taylor, no matter how many previous owners there've been.  But you're right about the warranty claim -- original owner only.

Yeah, I saw this one on eBay too.  Back in 2012 I considered one of these all-Koa T5's that Willcutt had for sale -- brand new. For all I know, this is the same one I evaluated then.  I was told, at the time, that 15 (not 10) of them had been built.  But either way, not many...

It was a beautiful guitar, but Mr. Willcutt and I couldn't get together on price, so I passed.

I know that, Dennis.  I've registered a couple of used Taylor's myself.  Not everything on the list was purchased new.
