NGD: 2013 Martin OM-42
« on: February 20, 2015, 01:51:47 AM »
I received my (NOS) 2013 Martin OM-42 last week, but didn't have to chance to do an NGD. I know this is a Taylor forum (sorry!), but this is my fave guitar forum by far, so I thought I'd share a couple of pics. :)

I was originally going for a 900-series Taylor. I then almost ordered a GA BTO (sinker/cocobolo), but the store never got back to me. That's when I came across this OM-42 that sounded amazing. This was likely not going to be my last guitar anyway, right? Maybe I'll have saved up enough money for that BTO by 2040?  ;)

Gorgeous! I am a fan of bling and that is well done. I'm sure it has that Martin signature tone.

Congratulations and enjoy!  :) :)

Congratulations. It was models like this awesome OM 42 (which originated in the late '20's-early thirties) that inspired the generations of luthiers which followed to create their best.  My Froggie has its roots in Martin's 00-42 of the same era.

I've always had a soft spot for this particular model - I've owned lots of Martins - 28s, 45s but never this particular one...congrats - she sure looks sweet!
