Winter NAMM 2015.
« on: January 21, 2015, 11:59:22 AM »
Well I'm sure you know already, but it's NAMM time, and I'm sure you're all as excited as I am for any news coming out about Taylors.

My boss is there and is with our Taylor rep today, but as of yet, I've heard nothing in particular about any announcements yet (which is no surprise as it doesn't really start until tomorrow), but I thought I'd start a thread for us to update as any good information becomes available.

This is something on the blog of a competitor of ours in the UK which may turn out to be true:

"Taylor have launched their entire 2015 lineup a couple of weeks early including updates to the Baby, GS Mini, 200, 300, 400 and 600 series of guitars. Some are just new finishes but one of the coolest updates means that you can now get their spectacular ES2 preamp/pickup system from the 300 series and up."

This isn't a lot to go on yet, and we've had 3 series with ES2 already ages ago, but I'm excited to know what 'updates' mean precisely.

Can someone at NAMM ask him, on behalf of the UTGF, how many tweed vests he owns?

The boss just tweeted these photos, he's been shopping while at NAMM of course! Hope this doesn't constitute advertising, it's just guitar porn!

First one is Mahogany GC 12 fret ce, the 2nd is a walnut GC 12 fret and the last one is a GA ovangkol/spruce combo.

Must... not... spend... wages... for... next... decade.

Willhubbs, thanks for the pictures. I've got a lot of learning to do before I can consider buying another Taylor but that GC 12 fret ce would definitely make my day!
