New Andy Powers design on BTO?
«

I played the new 812CE 12 fret yesterday. Sounded really nice. I was wondering it anyone knew if the new bracing can be gotten on a similar BTO.
Thanks,

Why not just get the 812 then?

Might like different top wood and tuners.

my understanding is that the GO bracing pattern was
adapted, somewhat, to the 800 series, with tweaks to each
of the body shapes, some with offset back bracing, some not -
on the last Custom list i've seen (mid 14), GO bracing was only
an option (standard) on GO models with no adi option (sitka only)
as far as i know, the 12 fret has one nut width, scale length &
neck carve & i don't see an option for waverly tuners
(like on the XXX-GCs) on the slotted headstock -
there doesn't seem to be an option listed for the HP package
on the 800s currently, or a cedar top or sunburst finish top
http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/acoustic/812ce-12-fret
but, as always,
Models and specifications are subject to change without notice
.
wonder if the torrefied top will be added as an option to the 800 series
