A Taylor Christmas Eve
« on: December 25, 2014, 12:57:45 PM »
At Christmas Eve service, I had the opportunity to play and sing one of my Christmas originals, called "This Son of Man", which was received really well! I played my new K24e (with ES1.3). She sounded great! Then I played with an ensemble of musicians and singers performing Christmas favorites. There was an electric guitarist, a 12-string Seagull player, an 812ce (1999) player and four other vocalists besides myself, playing through a nice PA and monitor system. I could throw out all theories about what wood combos cut through the mix; the K24 sparkled and helped me to add warmth, spice and lots of feeling to the songs we performed. In short, I had a ball!

Worshipping through song is one of the greatest blessings in my life - Merry Christmas to all and to all a GREAT night!

Merry Christmas to you, too! Sounds like an excellent worship service--glad your Taylor's sound came through amazingly! Do you have a link to your original song? It would be nice to hear. :)

Good job, sounds like fun. My K24ce made its debut on Christmas Day.

Unfortunately, my technical journey has stalled for the last few years; I haven't recorded for a while, and it is ironic, because my more recent songwriting has really blossomed for me. I don't have any major guitar acquisition plans for 2015, so perhaps it's time to invest in some new recording technology, and then try and find the time in my busy schedule to record! It's a struggle just to squeeze in a half hour of playing time on weekdays...although, I love recording, it's the live performances that get my blood flowing these days!

recording equipment is a good investment i could recommend some good reasonably priced bits of kit if you want but if you just record acoustic into the computer best iv found is a yeti usb mic and a copy of cubase. if you want a desk the alesis multimix 8 fx works very well
