Went with never say never.
2014 was unusual for me, essentially my "acoustic era" for GAS.
Started the year with an 814ce and no plans. Exited the year with what I have below in my signature, including buying and selling a 150e (swapped out for the 456ce ultimately, after deciding I will play a 12 string more than I thought.)
I can't imagine purchasing anything in 2015, mostly because I don't need anything now. Travel guitar, check. 12 string, check. All purpose guitar (K24ce) check. Fingerstyle guitar, check. (Custom GC). I tested my ability to fend off GAS after learning about the 656ce First Edition coming out. And was successful - just too happy with the 456ce to switch. By the way, if I had to go to 1 guitar from the 4 I have now, the Custom GC would stay. Easily. That's an interesting mental exercise, along with which would go first, if you have a number.
I already am thinking of 2015 as the year of playing and getting better. Much better, we'll see how that goes. Also getting some decent recording gear will help me track my progress. (Pretty much an
Apogee Mic 96K along with my iPad and studio monitors.) The plan starts with more frequent and diligent practice time. I have a number of things in mind, including learning some songs that will stretch my ability.
Have a Merry Christmas everyone, and a joyful 2015!
