I want to compare a K24ce with a K26ce, what happens after that is anyone's guess.

I also want to get better at playing the two I've already got.

I had no purchasing plans for 2014 and ended up buying the last 615ce jumbo as NOS at a Find Your Fit during the weekend before Taylor's 40th anniversary - an impulse buy, target of opportunity, etc.  I will continue to enjoy the quarterly dose of Guitar Porn (aka Wood & Steel) but will not be very likely to open my wallet.  But don't too much worry guys.  I've made enough contributions to the Taylor employees payroll and retirement fund over the years.     ;D

I am far more likely to sell in 2015 rather than to buy anything new, with at least four from the list below being available.  Having fallen prey to GAS several times over the last few years, there is finally some guilt for having more really nice guitars than I have time to play with any regularity - or even to keep fresh strings on them.  Unfortunately, the used guitar market seems to be in the doldrums, so I will probably not be able to re-adopt any of them out without basically giving them away for pennies on the dollar.
Taylors:  424-LTD (all koa) and a 114ce that lives with friends in Alaska.  Low maintenance carbon fiber guitars are my "thing" these days, but I will always keep the koa 424.  Several ukulele and bass guitars too.
*Gone but not forgotten:  a 2001 414ce, 410, 354-LTD twelve string, 314-N, 416-LTD baritone, T5 Classic, 615ce, 2006 GS-K, 1996 (first year) Baby

I plan to take out my 2005 614ce more frequently.  I've been playing it recently after a long hiatus and am extremely pleased and impressed with its balance and surprising bass response.  With as many guitars as I own, when I pick up an instrument I haven't played in a while there's a satisfaction similar to playing a new instrument.  At least for me.

Maybe just some form of rationalization taking into consideration my empty pockets.

I see a new 12-fret as being a likely purchase in 2015.  Will wait to see what the Spring limiteds have to offer in this department.

I have been guilty on several occasions saying this is definitely my last Taylor. You just never know, I guess. I have NO plans and am perfectly content and fortunate. I'm most likely not to see a NGD in 2015. I will love and appreciate my current herd. Plus, my husband is likely to get his dream new maple syrup evaporator in 2015.  ;) So, our focus will be on that.

Getting an 814ce sometime between Christmas and New Years is the plan. Hoping to get a GS Mini Koa in January.

I also have some song plans. The goal is to learn Classical Gas by year end 2015.

I plan on learning a bunch of new (and more challenging) songs on my new (to me) 314ce and playing a bunch of gigs.  I plan on keeping it in good shape but I'd be willing to accept some well-earned gig wear.

Play them. Play them. Then play them some more! Got no GAS here.

The K&K Mini sounds so good in my 12-fret GC, I might put one in my Mcilroy though. Does that count? NPUD?

Went with never say never.

2014 was unusual for me, essentially my "acoustic era" for GAS.  8) Started the year with an 814ce and no plans. Exited the year with what I have below in my signature, including buying and selling a 150e (swapped out for the 456ce ultimately, after deciding I will play a 12 string more than I thought.)

I can't imagine purchasing anything in 2015, mostly because I don't need anything now. Travel guitar, check. 12 string, check. All purpose guitar (K24ce) check. Fingerstyle guitar, check. (Custom GC). I tested my ability to fend off GAS after learning about the 656ce First Edition coming out. And was successful - just too happy with the 456ce to switch. By the way, if I had to go to 1 guitar from the 4 I have now, the Custom GC would stay. Easily. That's an interesting mental exercise, along with which would go first, if you have a number.

I already am thinking of 2015 as the year of playing and getting better. Much better, we'll see how that goes. Also getting some decent recording gear will help me track my progress. (Pretty much an Apogee Mic 96K along with my iPad and studio monitors.) The plan starts with more frequent and diligent practice time. I have a number of things in mind, including learning some songs that will stretch my ability.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone, and a joyful 2015!

that's all i'll say ...

for now ;)
it's not about what you play,
it's all about why you play ...
