Anyone actually "build their own"?
« on: December 14, 2014, 03:18:14 PM »
Just curious if anyone has ever built their own electric or acoustic guitar, either with one of the kits or winging it. If so, what did you build and let's see it!

Is this a "you show me yours and I'll show you mine" thread?

i really wish I had the time and wherewithal to get into this activity.  Seriously, I think it would be such great fun and an awesome learning experience.   I love to watch videos of the Lowden guitars founder talk about what he went through, as well as Bob Taylor.  Seems like a wondrous journey.

The luthier that I use runs courses, it's one on one and you come out of it with an electric guitar. I'm very tempted to have a go sometime.

Years ago I built several electric guitars, and a few acoustics.

I wouldn't want to tackle those now, though.
