ES system
« on: September 25, 2014, 02:05:01 PM »
Hi All

Recently bought a 214 CE Koa with ES system. Love the guitar but plugged it in to am amp for the first time this week and couldn't hear
much if any difference in sound or tone when I flicked the switch on the circuit board inside the guitar. I was plugged into a Line 6 Spider, could that be why?

Thanks

Maybe I'm wrong here but isn't that switch for phase/feedback control?

According to the Taylor website, the 214 Koa has the ES-T pickup system, and the switch is for phase shift and feedback control.  The ES1 has the switch which turns off a body sensor.  Current 300 and 400 series have a version of the ES1 and Taylors, 300 series on up, from earlier years have the ES1.
