I've been coveting a 7-28 ever since I heard that they existed, a year ago. BUT I was in no way able to purchase one of the little gems. It's a D-28 in all respects save size (and that means price). Is it wonderful? No doubt about it. Is it in my future? Nope.
My instrument instructor had been working on me to realize the merits of a lap-friendly guitar with a short scale. In particular, a GS Mini. After two years of this, I had a talk with my financial advisor and she said go ahead and get one. And I did, in February. What a wonderful guitar. The more I get used to it, the more I appreciate what a gem it is, especially so for the $ it cost me. I can see why Taylor sells a zillion of them.
