You Got It -- Roy Orbison

"Nice and warm here in Texas; 70's most every day now... ;) "

Trade ya ?

Thanks, but I filed my quota of snow and ice while in Pennsylvania for the first two months of the year; in fact, my brother said it was 30 deg F and snow flurries for St. Patrick's Day...  Doesn't sound very green to me... :o  Anyway, you'd just want to be trading me back somewhere around July, when it's hotter than Hades in Texas...

You've Got to Hide Your Love Away - the Beatles

From the movie "Help". Lots of 12 string goodness in there, Tim.
I can remember playing this on an EKO dreadnought 12 string I had when I was stationed in Germany back in the day.

You're right about summer trades. Maybe just a temporary swap. You can keep the extra hot and extra stickies.

By the way, people puke green beer in South Boston on St Paddy's Day. I know; I lived there for a few years, 50 feet from the parade route. So either way, the color green will be represented in spades. Or is that shamrocks?

The "Wearing of the Green" / "Rising of the Moon" is one of my favourite 12 string pieces. I play it in G, using only the unison treble 'e' string(s) for the melody, and madly finger pick everything else as drones for the melody. Somewhat akin to (but not sounding like) a bagpipe style. And I play it very loudly. Melody notes get rhythmically picked too; for example quarter notes can end up being two eighth notes.
