RealBook Software ?

Has anyone else bought this product and what did you think ?

I bought Vol 1 about a year ago and it is very handy to have all the audio files.

Read a lot of bad reviews too.

I'm going to shell out and get Vol's 2 & 3 just to get my hands on the mp3s. The charts are a bit poor quality and I think a lot of the RealBook charts are full of mistakes, wrong chords.

Anyway, it is a handy bit of kit & it would take me years to gather all that material together. Some great tunes in there.

That is quite a sales pitch on that site!
Did you get the Band in a Box and the midi files too?
If so, are they worth their salt?
It's got me thinking of grabbing them just for the mp3s!

To tell you the truth, I was a bit anxious when I sent for the first Vol 1

Looks like a bit of a dodgy site.

But I received a pro produced DVD in proper packaging with all the extra files as promised.

I don't have BIAB (yet) but the files he promises for it are all there along with over 100 midi tracks.

Not sure, but there are around 1200 plus BIAB tracks all up.

The software installed with no issues and I love it. As you said, just to have all those tunes on mp3 sealed it for me.

It's certainly not a cheap product but I really want all those mp3's. I can't see how I could collect all those in a hurry.

The software itself looks very dated (kinda MS DOS dated) but its functional, simple to operate and just does the job.

I recently had to update my laptop and now that I have a 500Mb HD I have room for this stuff. I had to delete it from my old laptop more than a few times as I only had a 40Gb drive.

I'll get that BIAB sometime to see what I can do with these bonus extra files.

You know, all those cool old jazz standards are there and similar for the 134 Bonus Midi files. I have played the midi stuff through Sibelius and they are pretty good.
