It may be that the straight 114 is out of production. I think that happened a year or two ago. Most everyone goes for the "e" or the "ce" version and the straight non-cutaway, no-electrified version probably did not sell well enough for dealers to bother handling separately. When I bought my 114ce I was actually looking for a camp guitar at minimal cost, but no one local had a 114, only the ce version. I didn;t really need the electronics or the cutaway for that guitar, but they made me a deal and I got one upgrade free, versus the straight 114 price.
Given the intent of the 114 and 214 (hitting an entry level price point) don't hold your breath waiting for a bunch of BTO-like options. That is what the 300+ series are for. I'm a bit surprised they have even done the 214 LTD series with some upgrades, but there must be demand for that - enough to justify a few special production runs.
