Hi all,

I'm looking for someone who has a copy of the 1996 Fall issue of Taylor's Wood & Steel magazine. There is an article in there about the 422K. I just need a copy of that article.
Also, if the retail price is not indicated in that article, I would also like a copy of the 1996 catalog pricelist.

Can anyone help?

I am a owner of 3 Taylor guitars and receive the print version of Wood & Steel. Access to electronic version archives of back issues on the Taylor website only goes back to 2010.

Thanks to anyone who can help with the 1996 Fall issue and price catalog.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi Michael,

Seems to be so.  I'm still waiting for pics of the guitar.  it is not the same exact guitar, but the general info corresponds.

Thanks for that link on ebay.

Jeff,  I bet if you contact Taylor they would provide you with a PDF file of it.

there is info for Taylor's european customer service division on their website -
page 3 has the listings for the dealers in Paris, which may  be more expedient

Thanks Michael,
I know the folks at the European service center.  My Baby Taylor got worked on there earlier this year.
But it didn't seem worth contacting them since they just got set up in April 2011 and would very unlikely have back issues 15-20 years of the magazine.

Taylor responded to my email via website late last night. They just replied with a few sentences that confirm what I've seen written in another forum, but didn't scan the mag article.
The info is sufficient.
thanks,

Jeff

I know all the shops in Paris which have Taylor guitars. Only 1 has been a distributor for a long time and they are not always the nicest to deal with.  I regularly go to another shop and test a lot of Taylors there.  They are fairly new as a dealer for Taylors (a couple of years).  A 3rd store north of Paris only has Wood & Steel magazines going back to mid 2011 in the room where they have about 10 Taylors on the wall.

another option would be to periodically search eBay -
that issue of W & S was probably not posted as a pdf file on Taylor's original website, when
it went live back in 98 i believe, so it's doubtful a hard copy is still available 17 years later

i wouldn't expect a dealer that is less-than-accommodating to last for very long,
but sometimes there are people that spend good money to be treated poorly :-\
