Whew! Info in a flash!

Yeah, no kidding and videos to boot. Looks like that little Maton can be had for $XXXX.XX....if I found the right one. I keep forgetting Keith is an Aussie....I guess Nicole is too. But I think they split their time between Nashville and Aussieland. At least the last I heard from them...ha!

it's a mini maton, looks like a diesel special from the sunburst finish
http://maton.com.au/product/mini-maton-series-diesel-special
22 3/4" scale length, 12 1/4" body width , 3 3/4" depth, 15 3/4" length, 34 5/8" overall -
available in all solid woods or laminate back & side & a 12 string with 36" overall length

somebody like you - false start, initially ;)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSqnO_ulluQ[/

kashmir has an epicness from the string section, which gives it a lot of power & presence 8)
metallica's structure seems to be classically rooted & they did a concert with a symphony

I can't pull up the Metallica...it says my country has blocked the content or some such nonsense. How do you find stuff so darn fast.  ???

I'm a fan of anything acoustically driven.

For those who enjoy some folky bluegrassy rock/pop music I'd highly suggest The Avett Brothers. They are about as fun as any band you can see live. They are quite the lyricists as well.

Here is a live version one of their more popular songs, "Laundry Room" at Bonnaroo.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlpLPdcK8N4

And for those of you who like your covers, they do many of these as well. This is Seth Avett (singer/guitarist) and Bob Crawford (bassist) playing Jim Croce's "Operator".

Enjoy.

While technically correct, a Yankee in proper usage east of the Delaware River is someone from New England.  Not us in NJ or those across the river in NY, especially that horrible bunch in the Bronx that put on baseball uniforms every spring.  The rules are relaxed in wartime.

I've actually never listened consciously to Metallica.  I like my metal tempered with lightness-- Led Zeppelin, Iron Butterfly, you get the gist.

This is a guitar forum so I thought I could be a little loose with my terminology. But I think we consider ourselves Yankees here. We're the boyhood home of Lincoln and we fought with the Union (your wartime reference) and the Ohio River was useful in the Underground Railroad, with routes running through various Southern Indiana counties. I'm a Yankee:)
I've never been a. Metallica fan either but I was curious to see what Michael has found.

North Carolina boys pining for Brooklyn in their 2009 debut.  Made a big splash early but are a little under the radar now.
