From personal experience: My 2004 Taylor K12 developed extremely low action (I know, just the opposite of what one would expect) and needed a neck "reset."
Took it to my local authorized repair center and it cost me the price of a new nut and strings. No charge for the neck removal & re-shimming. What a pleasant surprise!
