After I got my GS Mini M I was pretty sure I had no urge for another new guitar.  Then the new all-mahogany 500's and mahogany-topped 300's came out...

 :o

Well, I recently bought a 528e and it simply knocked me out!  Even with it's size (and it IS a big guitar) it has become my go-to player, much to the dismay of my 510-LTD and 426ce-LTD (though they still get ample playing time).  Then I started wondering about the 300's...especially the 322...and found one to try in Orlando.

The sound was far more full and beautiful than I would have expected (way better then my 412-M!) and today I ordered one from LA Guitar Sales (which is where I also got my 528e).  Not only that, but I ordered one of the 324's for my sister for her birthday, though she doesn't know it yet.

Darn, Taylor...give me a break!

I've been looking but nothing's trippin' the trigger.  I think my wife's putting something in my coffee -- Is there salt peter for GAS?

I wouldn't mind a second GC3 or GC4, but I have no immediate plans.

I posted about waiting for a GS-Mini-QS, and that's true. But, way back in the day (1966) when I graduated from HS and was teaching myself acoustic guitar in the middle of the Folk Music revival, I bought a Martin D12-20 from our local music store. Thinking back, it must have been used as I don't remember any paperwork other than the BOS. Prior to that I had a 12-string my Mom had bought me, which grew a speed bump at the soundhole which almost touched the strings (no kidding!), and I just had to upgrade THAT! I remember that Mom paid $50 for it new as my birthday prezzie in 1965. Neither one of us knew brands or quality and, well, we ended up getting what we paid for. But, I was learning! The Martin was the first guitar I had bought myself and my friends all said if I was serious, get a Martin and do it right. Well, off to college I went in September 1966, Martin in hand. By Graduation, the Martin was a memory, sold sometime my Junior year.

Now, in the interest of getting back to my home base, I'm going to seek out a 1965 or 1966 D12-20 and I'm NOT going to sell it this time ;D.
God Bless and Keep Pickin' away at it!

Just got a used T5-C1 last week, and had been gassing for that for a while.  Next guitar is likely to be an Alvarez ABT-60 Baritone.  Would love the Taylor baritone, but can't justify the price.  The Alvarez has gotten good reviews.

Next Taylor might be a 324, but it'll probably be a while.
