"Sinker" Bald Cypress?

Just ran across this article....has anyone ever heard of using cypress as a tonewood?

nope. that is a very interesting article though. i'm sure that by now, if Bob has read this, he's got Andy on a plane heading there now just to study the feasability.

It would probably sound pretty good. Classical guitars are made with Cypress.

The hardness and density of Cypress are rather close to Sitka Spruce.

Cypress wood is big money some big logging company will have a underwater logging operation.
