2003 to 2006 200 Series - Backs

curious. ..

do the older all wood 200 series have the pressed contour backs like the later laminated version?

also... what series do you start seeing a true one piece neck as opposed to the three piece neck on the 200 series?

03-06 214s and 04-06 210s had solid Sapele back and sides. These were made in El Cajon, CA.

The NT neck was phased in beginning in 99. The pre-NT necks were still considered 3 piece as the headstock had 'wings', while the NT neck has a neck heel and headstock 'grafted' together.

concur about the solid wood but I am curious if the solid wood back is pressed into the convex shape like the laminated later models.  I have the laminated 210 and I like that it has no back bracing by using shape for strength.

so basically all newer Taylors have the grafted three piece neck?
