RIP - Ray Manzarek

Ray Manzarek, founding member and keyboard player of The Doors, passed away yesterday at age 74.
Many people don't realize it, but The Dors didn't have a bass player. Manzarek played the bass lines on a Fender keyboard bass while playing melodies on his Vox Continental:

Truly a trailblazer in music.
RIP, Ray.

Even though he was the oldest member of the group, I always thought he spoke with so much youthful energy...especially when he spoke about Jim.
