I played a friend's SCGC D12 last year and have been on the hunt ever since. Lately smaller guitars have been the ticket for me, but when considering a dred I am partial to the slope version. The 12-fret aspect of this one is just what the doctor ordered. I am ecstatic to have acquired this guitar!
The build is light as a feather. A lot lighter than my SCGC 000. The guitar sounds wonderful. Good volume and projection. Bass is big without "woof" but doesn't overpower the mids/highs. Very nice fundamentals and exceptional balance. Sustain is fantastic. The 70 years on the Sitka (and 3 on the Mahogany) make for a very rich woody sound. A perfect match for my singing voice. I am psyched!
