12 fret bracing question
« on: March 24, 2013, 04:58:25 AM »
Hi, this question deviated from an earlier post (12 fret 712ce. Does anyone have any info about the 12 fret bracing? How does it differ from the standard ii with the bridge backed up? Is there anywhere I can read about it? Has it been in an old issue of w&s? Is it scalloped?

I have a 512 12 Fret on order and am interested if or how it differs from standard II

Thanks
512 12 Fret.

I've never seen any mention of the details of TF top bracing by Taylor other than that it is unique and specific to TF's.  If you really need the details, I would call Taylor Customer Service and I'm sure they would hook you up with someone who could and would explain the differences to you.

I can tell you that my own BTO GAce TF (EIR/Engelmann) has an X-type bracing pattern from what I can see and feel...

Yeah, I know you can't see the bracing... but I just think my guitar is pretty!!

Amazing guitar, I would guess that the bracing is scalloped?

TF bracing is scalloped.  So is the Standard II and CV bracing as well.
