Jersey Tuning also pointed out that I "need" a 600 series (aka maple) guitar. I agree with you both......but not sure if my husband does. Then again, if he's buying more maple syrup equipment, I could justify it as needed equipment. Yeah, that sounds about right.

Sorry if this is a bit of a hijack, but here's how two of my hobbies (one cars, the other Taylor guitars) intersected:  A C5 and a T5, both Aztec Gold.

Hmmm...I have a 2003 50th anniversary red C5 in the garage and the only guitar that I really want and don't yet have would be a new T5 and the color of T5 that most appeals to me is the Borrego Red.  You could be on to something!

Cars & guitars -- they go together like peanut butter & jelly!  Or in this case, maple syrup and, well, apparently anything... ;)

an amberburst top, back & neck
(flamed hard rock maple) with edgeburst sides would be sweet (literally) :)

with AA flamed maple, a crystalline effect might  be a possibility
(a bit lighter & more translucent than the "burnished" brush fire finish)

it would be a bit different than a honey

del mar

or desert sunburst

so, i'm guessing it would fall into the "custom finish" category ($$$)
