Cant really help you on the price. But I will say this......Cedar/Walnut Taylors are my absolute favorite Taylor flavor!!  I smile and get lost in time each day when I play mine. If you like it and think its worth the $, buy it. You wont find that sound in any other wood combination . Its a very unique and special tone. Magic to my ears.

Its a very woody and warm tone, with that signature Taylor clarity, sustain and shimmer.  The bass is full, the mids are rich , and the trebles are round. The notes just jump out of the guitar. They sound like air is swirling around them. Sort of like the a saxophone or the beautiful low notes of a flute or clarinet.  Or maybe even a cello.  THe notes really envelop the player.  A softer touch gets the most out of the cedar top.  If you are a heavy strummer , this probably isnt the guitar for you. Fingerstyle is where this guitar will shine. Altered tunings will really make it sing.

I used to own a 2000 W14ce. Top 3 Taylors I have ever played. It was a cedar/walnut. It had basically same features as the 914c but different wood and inlay. You can install the latest ES on a W14c because didn't come with pickup. Strongly recommend.

Thanks for replies. It certainly looks good from the pics but they are asking, which I am led to believe, a bit on the high side.

These are most buautiful Taylors, I've had two of these a 98 and a 2000. one thing to look out for on these is the Ivoride binding shrinking and pulling away in the waist area on the top.
Seen it many times . Taylor had a bad batch of Ivoride binding run back then.
The 1st one I had was a 1 11/16 nut , I love it! played like and electric guitar.

When you say you've seen it many times, how many are you talking?
