Hi from Southern Arizona
« on: February 16, 2013, 05:47:15 PM »
Hi, I'm Rick.
Just wanted to introduce myself and thank all for the information I've gotten from the forum.
It did cause me to buy a DN4. I'm pleased with it! I'm a newbie but wanted something that would inspire me, it does.
I bought her used, in excellent cosmetic condition. It did get a good "tune up" and neck reset. I don't think she was taken very good care of by her previous owner. Luckily we have an excellent Guitar shop in town and the Tech used to work for Taylor. He's also a nice Guy.
I'll try some pics.

Rick

Hi Rick,  Make yourself at home.  Looks like you got a good find there.  It will bring you years of enjoyment.

Soaz, welcome to the board from a good old boy down here in SW Virginia. I am pretty new myself an learning more and more about Taylor guitars everyday! I have been made to feel very welcome here and hope you will experience the same.

Welcome aboard!  We visit our daughter in the Phoenix area, a radically different climate from our home on the Gulf Coast.  Be sure to keep a humidifying device in the case!!  (The one I use needs "refreshing" almost daily when in Arizona.)

Best wishes,

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!
Capt. Jim, I do. I have an Oasis and She was thirsty when I got her. I keep it in the case humidified when not playing or should I say, practicing. The humidity here today is about 11% but we have a storm moving through tonight. The single digit humidity days are just around the corner.
