I have not gotten mine in the mail, but got one at my dealer yesterday.

For those with questions about cutaways and electronics, on the page that lists the GA models, it says:

"Each model listed above is also available as a non-cutaway with electronics (e.g., 814e) or a non-cutaway without electronics (e.g., 814)."

There are similar statements on the pages for GC, GS, and DN. So they really haven't dropped GC8, GA5, GS6, etc., but have abandoned the numbering scheme. And, any decorative differences the acoustic series had are gone. The now share those with the ce versions.

there are some pics of a 214ce LTD koa (gloss body) on Portland Music Co facebook page
http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151165610536295.454272.267316446294&type=1

And that would be the one I'll be trying out!
cool :)
looking at their site, they also have the 214ce, 214ceBLK (maple) & 214ceSB in stock -
they show to have 5 locations, one being sheet music only, another with
'everything except sheet music, band, orchestra & acoustic instruments' &
their acoustic store is on Broadway ... i wonder if this is the acoustic shop

It is. It's the only all-acoustic store in Portland, I believe, and they know their stuff.

The woman in the video is the store manager.

not yet

from bits & pieces i've seen, it looks like the GO is initially
going to be offered in a first edition run (100 of each ?)

518e
sitka top
side bracing
premium mahogany back & sides
deco diamond headstock inlay

618e
premium big leaf maple back & sides
new bracing pattern
adirondack bracing
twisted oval headstock inlay

918e
adirondack bracing

the side bracing is mentioned on the 5 (on Taylor's site as of yet) &
the new bracing pattern is mentioned on the 6 & 9

it would be pretty cool, imho, if there was also an initial run of
500-900 series (X10/2/4/6e & X56e models) that offered the
side bracing, adi bracing, wood & headstock inlay upgrades too

Thanks Michael...maybe next year, eh?

. Maybe the biggest improvement is that the GO is much more player-friendly than traditional large-body guitars."......... "It's a much more Sensitive Brute than the traditional Jumbo."

Now that is what we need... a much more sensitive brute.. jumbo. I would have to say that one of the main differences between my pre NT neck 415 jumbo (and I have always loved the jumbo body...especially Taylors).. and my GS, is that the GS is much more sensitive. I don't have to drive it hard to bring out the bottom.. it just sings. So, I would expect the same... and more from  a GO.

without the current W&S to look at (it should be the 2013 guitar guide), my info's incomplete (that was the 'not yet') -
ataylor mentioned that there is a 710 (no e) on sweetwater's site
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/710SBNoCut?utm_source= Google&
utm_medium=PPC&utm_campaign=none&gclid=CM3h5Nqo-LQCFQWnnQod0xQAFg

i imagine it's likely that the 300-PS numerical designation models would be offered across the board ...
or, at least 500 series & up (the 316, 356, 416 & 456 would be pretty nifty too :) )

So here it is Monday (Martin luthers Kings Day) and I still won't get the new issue.  nothing on line either. This is normal though.
