First Taylor
« on: January 13, 2013, 08:43:00 PM »
Hello All

I have 3 Takamine's but have always wanted to try a Taylor so now I have a 416ce (2011) it has very quickly become my favorite guitar.  I look forward to learning from all of you especially about the Taylor Expression System as I am having trouble finding a tone for recording, but I will leave that for another thread.

Thanks again

Hi rpinon69. Welcome to the UTGF. I'm sure your question about the Expression System has been posed around here a time or two. There are some threads about the Expression System around here somewhere.  Enjoy the site.  :)

Welcome to the forum, rpinon69. I'll bet your 416ce is a power house! ;) What drew you to it...sound, size, looks, all of these? Nice to have you here! :)

Hi rpinon69,  I have had a couple of Tak's in my past, they were well built and exact copies of Martin.  I wish I still had them. I know the 416 and I think you will happy with it for many years

Thank you all for your kind greetings!

Here is a picture of my Taylor 416ce.

I was considering a 414ce but I enjoyed the tone of the larger GS body and the .13 gauge strings I have been using .12 on my other guitars.
