Yes. But I'm not going to say exactly what. Give it another month or so and all will be answered...

What was the point of this post?

I had a similar thought upon seeing  Jalbert's post.

Anybody heard of any Taylor surprises/rumors/special editions at NAMM?

Hehehe...  the programmer side of me answered that one. I took it literally, as a true/false question. Yes, I've heard of surprises. I'd love to say more but I shouldn't.

(It's kind of like answering "yes" when you're asked whether you'd like fries or onion rings with your burger...)

Next time I'll just keep my fingers away from the keyboard until after NAMM.

I read the OP's question as an opportunity to share, not flaunt.....

That's correct. Does anybody have any good tidbits to share? What might be for Taylor guitars at NAMM 2013 for us curious Taylor supporters?

There are probably hundreds of people who are aware of what Taylor's plans are for NAMM and beyond. Each of them have had the sense to keep their mouths shut in a public forum like this. I did not. I can see why you think I am gloating. I am not--it was a lame attempt at being a smart-a**. Please accept my apologies. I've learned my lesson and will keep such things offline.

In the meantime, who's going to NAMM? There's a local dealer who in the past has offered for his customers who've bought guitars to attend NAMM as long as they pay for the ticket. I'd like to go some year but I've burned up most of my vacation time for 2012/3.

No apologies necessary. You're fine. We're just all having fun.

I await with great interest on the redesigned jumbo, the OM mentioned in another thread and the new Andy Powers design - could they all be the same guitar?

Mandolins!  I'll bet they could make some nice ones.

I own a 2011 Spring GA-LTD 12-fret and just love it. Would like to see Taylor come out with a production line 514 or GA5 12-fret with Cedar top and short scale. Bet they would sell like hotcakes.

Given Taylor's brand recognition for quality acoustic guitars I would think a high end Taylor acoustic amp would do well.
