I don't think I ever introduced myself......
« on: November 10, 2012, 03:39:03 PM »
I'm from the beautiful Pacific Northwest.  I manage a locally owned acoustic guitar shop.  I'm not here to represent my store, just here because I love acoustic guitars and enjoy connecting with other people who feel the same.

Welcome!  It is great to have on the forum.  Tell us about your store.

Thank you!

I work for Portland Music Company and have for more than 20 years.  The company has been in business since 1927 and continues to be independently owned.  The owner is a good dude.  My store is all acoustic instruments and we have a really wonderful selection of guitars.  I absolutely love the location that I manage.  It's in a great neighborhood and we have some of the nicest customers around.

I've heard of him but don't know him.  I would definitely love to visit his shop sometime, though!

I am on his waiting list for a uke - I was thinking all koa but that picture of SF's myrtlewood has got me thinking.  Oh well, he's backed up so I have awhile to think about it.

Check him out here:  http://donaldsonukuleles.com/

And here is the uke I was thinking of (hoping he picks up some more nice koa):  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTNcw9SKn5I
