You should write a book! Man, I was sweatin' and tremblin' right along with you. When I bought my GS8e I had to trade in my DN3, my only guitar at that time, to off-set the cost. The salesman said it could take a while to get there, maybe a couple of months! By the second day I was experiencing withdraws, I wasn't eating right, and sleep was even worse (ok, only a little exageration ;) ). I think I was even fretting my wife's arm in my sleep. But then after a week had passed the salesman called to let me know that it arrived! He said it was the fastest shipping he'd ever experience given the conditions. Thankfully I was able to leave work immediately to pick it up - big time happy camper!

Well, I did write a book; published 3 years ago.  Nothing to do with guitar playing, or even waiting for the new one to arrive.

Or, available on iBooks, Barns & Noble, etc.  And that completes the commercial portion of this program.  ;)

Little Izzy, the furry kid, likes it when I play guitar and sing for her...

What can I say?  I'm a sucker for a pretty face.

My wife thinks I should write another book - like something about life on the road, playing rock ' roll.  Maybe... I know I won't be running for office.  8)

Captain Jim, thanks for this thread. I have a question: early on you said: It spent an extra day in house there, having the action set for my preference.

Can you share with us how you communicated your action preferences, without being there in person? Did you set a certain measurement at the 12th fret, for instance?

He doesn't pop in here that often anymore. It might be quicker to PM Jim with your questions.
