Thanks, folks!  This is out of character for me, but it's sure been fun!  :)  The best part: a most supportive spouse who really enjoys my guitar playing.

Best wishes,
Jim

Indeed, I do enjoy the T5!  I had a lot of fun today, playing it through that little Roland Cube Street... LOTS of different tones.  The 814ce is still at the top of the heap, though.  It's a good thing we had most of the "projects" done since we've been back home... other than getting a few errands run, I spent most of the day playing... swapping back and forth between the T5 and the 814.  Yeah, I'd call that a very productive day!  8)

An amp stand I ordered came in today - it allows me to stack the Cube Street and the Fishman Mini, with the Bose alongside...

The room is small, so getting those up off the floor helps.

Best wishes,
Jim

That is a really nice looking guitar, and this is from a guy who is no fan of cutaways! I hope you are enjoying it.

Your initial post reminded me of when I had a new Collings shipped to me.  I was a wreck all day knowing that it was "out for delivery", but it was being shipped to my wife's place of work, so I was happy knowing that it was arriving to a good location where there was someone to sign for it.  So that evening I arrive there right at closing time and the guitar had not shown up; this was hours after the normal deliver time.  I was crushed and went home for a depressing night.  At around 8pm I got a call from one of my wives coworkers who had returned home to find the package sitting outside on her doorstep.  The UPS driver realized he did not deliver it and since her house was on his return route he left it there.

I was darn happy to get it, but I was amazed that UPS would skip the signature, deliver to the wrong address, and leave a package insured for $3500 outside along a rural area in view of the road!  That kind of thing that causes ulcers. :)

Must be a small town where the UPS driver knows who works where, huh?  ;)  Remember the "olden days" when the only way you knew when the package was going to be delivered was when you saw the brown truck pull up?

Thanks for the compliment on the guitar... from a guy who is a fan of cutaways - yes, I am enjoying it; haven't been able to wipe the smile off my face, yet.   ;D

Wow, a great looking instrument, and your description of the process is captivating. Kind of lets me know what I'm in for over the next 14 weeks as I wait for my BTO.

14 weeks?  Without a guitar??  That's just not right!  My callouses would fall off.

OK, I caught my breath... I'm sure it will be well worth the wait.  :)
